San Domenico`s Tony May loves people, loves food, and has spared no expense in bringing exquisite, authentic, northern Italian cuisine to New York. The handsome dining room has sleek, cognac-colored leather chairs, and floors tiled with imported terra-cotta. Each night San Domenico offers a menu of traditional dishes and a seasonal menu prepared by Chef Odette Fada. The traditional menu includes soft egg yolk filled raviolo with truffle butter, and roasted veal loin with braised radicchio, pearl onions, and bacon cream sauce. The seasonal menu has had delectable choices such as Mediterranean baby octopus with celery and bell peppers and seared fillet of red snapper with mushrooms, clams, and carrots. Desserts, like a frozen passion fruit parfait in a mango sauce, are out-of-this-world.
